MEET TARYN: The Heart Behind the Bricks

Pacific Northwest roots meet Carolina soul. Originally from Washington State, Taryn moved to North Carolina in 2012 to join her family at Fort Bragg and quickly traded evergreen forests for the timeless charm of industrial brick. Since then, she has fully embraced the Carolina lifestyle—earning her B.S. in Mathematics, marrying her husband, and building a life centered around community, creativity, and her growing family.

Taryn’s relationship with Studio 215 began exactly where yours is starting: as a bride. After planning her own wedding within these industrial walls, she fell in love with the 1930s charm, exposed brick, and the endless possibilities of the space.

While her formal background is in Mathematics, her heart has always belonged to DIY projects and design. This gives her a unique edge as a venue owner, offering a perfect blend of mathematical precision and artistic creativity. Whether she is drafting your custom floor plan or guiding you through the logistics of the planning process, she ensures every "variable" of your dream event adds up to a perfect equation.

Latest News: Growing the Studio Family!

Beyond the Studio: Getting to Know Me

When I’m not at the Studio coordinating layouts or answering your emails, you can usually find me:

  • Soaking up Family Time: My family is my greatest blessing. Whether we’re gathered around the kitchen island or just relaxing in the living room, the simplest moments together are my favorite. Since most of our extended family is in Wisconsin, Wyoming & Pennsylvania, we love any chance to travel north and reconnect!

  • On a "Thrift Adventure": My mom and I love hitting the road for random antiquing and thrifting trips. We never know what treasures we’ll find, but the journey is always the best part.

  • Supporting Local: I have a deep love for small businesses. Whether it’s a boutique or a local eatery, I go out of my way to support small shops. They have the best products, the kindest people, and the most heart.

  • Fueling Up: Like a true Washingtonian, I run on coffee—but it has to be cold! You’ll almost always see me with an iced or blended coffee (never hot) from The Morning Jump Coffee Company.

  • "Taryn-it-Up": If I ever start a second career as a DJ, you already know my stage name!

To me, every client—past, present, and future—is an extension of my own family. It is a true honor and a blessing to have you celebrate your most significant milestones within these walls. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here!

I am so happy you’re here. I’m a firm believer that when you choose a venue, you should know the heart behind the business. When you choose Studio 215, you aren’t just booking a unique space—you are supporting my family and my dream.
